Last night, I was exhausted, staring at my kitchen like it was an obstacle course. But my sweet tooth was relentless. Then I spotted some leftover bread and a bar of chocolate. A lazy dessert idea was born.
Ingredients
4 cups of stale bread, torn into pieces
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of heavy cream
1/2 cup of sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup of chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
How to Make It
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, mix milk, cream, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
Add the bread pieces to the mixture and let it soak for 10 minutes.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
Pour the mixture into a greased baking tray.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes until the top is golden and the pudding is set.
Serve
Spoon it warm into bowls and enjoy as is, or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
