Ever had one of those days where you just can’t with all the fancy cooking? I know I have! The other night, I was completely exhausted after a long day, and the thought of making dinner felt like climbing a mountain. I decided to throw together a pasta bake, but in my sleepy state, I forgot to add the cheese until it was almost done! I had to race back and sprinkle it on top, hoping for the best. Spoiler: it turned out cheesy and delicious, just like I wanted!
Ingredients
8 ounces of pasta (any shape you like).
2 cups of marinara sauce.
1 cup of water.
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese.
1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Optional: 1 cup of chopped vegetables (like spinach or bell peppers).
How to Make It
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large oven-safe pan, combine the pasta, marinara sauce, water, Italian seasoning, and any optional vegetables.
Stir everything together until well mixed.
Cover the pan with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven, uncover, and sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serve
Let it cool for a few minutes, then dig right in! It’s perfect for sharing or just for enjoying all by yourself.
