Ingredients
6 slices of bread, slightly stale is best
2 cups milk
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
How to Make It
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Break the bread into chunks and place them into a baking dish.
In a pot, warm the milk until just simmering.
Add chocolate chips to the milk and stir until melted.
In a bowl, whisk together sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
Slowly add the warm chocolate milk mixture to the bowl, whisking to combine.
Pour the mixture over the bread, pressing down to soak.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, until set.
Serve
Spoon it out warm into bowls, maybe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
